Pere Periche’s career honored at the Gaudí Beauty Awards.

On May 8, the second edition of the Gaudí Beauty Awards was held, innovative awards with the aim of recognizing companies and experts in the Beauty sector who stand out in innovation, training, management, research and communication. The gala was held at the Fira de Barcelona in the context of the Cosmo Beauty fair. The Gaudí Empresa awards, aimed at professionals who have contributed to innovating the industry, and the Gaudí Professional awards, chosen by the winners of the first category. It is in these awards that Pere Periche is included, being recognized as Best Entrepreneur, an example of entrepreneurship, improvement and values. On stage they shared merits with other great figures in the world of hairdressing such as Lluís Llongueras, Santiago Tejedor, María Martínez and Raffel Pages, posthumously. Pere Periche Escamilla was born in Barcelona in 1944 and, like many post-war children, he started working very early. He found a job as a distributor of hairdressing products at the hands of the Llobet brothers who introduced him to the world of beauty by teaching him how to make formulas. The curiosity to create these products made Periche decide to open a small laboratory years later and in 1969 Periche Professional was born. Today, the firm specializing in professional hair cosmetics is internationally recognized, billing more than €4M and is present in more than 23 countries around the world. Despite the growth, Periche has always been very clear about the values that the firm had to follow: honesty, diversity and enthusiasm to create. This is how the Catalan has directed the company during the four decades in which he has been in charge.
